Klosterprodukter produces its Åland mustard by hand in a small factory in Karlby, in the heart of Kökar. Everything is made by hand – from grinding the seeds to sealing each jar.

Kökar – Far out in the archipelago
Klosterprodukter is located on Kökar, at the outer edge of the Åland archipelago – where the sea meets the sky and the stillness can suddenly turn into a storm and roaring waves.
Out here in the middle of the Baltic Sea, nature’s contrasts are strong – and those same forces are reflected in our products: sometimes sweet, sometimes salty.
It’s about 60 kilometres to Mariehamn, roughly 180 to Helsinki, and around 160 across the sea to Stockholm.
We live and work in rugged yet breathtakingly beautiful nature, surrounded by one of the world’s most magnificent archipelagos.
And yes, we dare to say it: Kökar is the most beautiful island in the world.
